A long time ago people didn’t care how fucking damaged
they were. the right thing, no, the only thing to do was to get married, have a
couple (or in some cases, 10) kids and smile, their life could be falling apart
but they would not tell anybody, because nobody really had anything to do if
they were in pain or not.
Nowadays, people cry over the drop of a hat, people
like to suffer, or they like to cry or they like that other people think
they’re suffering, I don’t really understand it, but it must be something like
that. People don’t know what a problem is, for them, if their clothes aren’t
fashionable, that’s a problem. And that, my dear friends, is a huge problem.
just the other night I was watching Sex and the City, not that I like it,
but it was the only thing watchable on TV, and the first thought that popped in
my mind was Oh, my God, aren’t these
supposed to be the problems of a teenage girl instead of a thirty-year old,
successful, independent woman? if we think about it, instead of watching
and doing these things and having
these problems aren’t thirty-year olds supposed to, I don’t know, work
and pay taxes and think Oh, my God, I
don’t have any money to pay for groceries and stuff like that?
I mean, I know I’m only 16 and I’m supposed to know
nothing about life, at least that’s the general population’s belief, am I
close? but shouldn’t people’s worries be more like People in North Korea are being killed and imprisoned by the minute,
90% of Ethiopia’s population doesn’t really have water, baby Indian girls are
being murdered because, well, they’re girls, a quarter of the World is infected
with HIV/AIDS and there’s a global financial and economical crisis? those
actually sound like real problems, am I right here? Beware, please, for them,
for all the other victims but, specially, for you, please be a bigger person
and help all those in need of help. Be a better person and respect all those in
need of respect. Be a greater person and love all those in need of love. Be what so many others would like to be but
don’t have the chance. Be the change you
want to see in the World.
