Time...

Time is supposed to heal everything... Well, got bad news for you, hon, it doesn't, it really doesn't.
It doesn't matter how long or how hard you're aching, time does not heal anything, it might help coping with the pain, you know, but the pain is there, you've just learned how to deal with it.
Today, my portuguese teacher told us that a very good friend of her had an accident, like four years ago, and he became a quadriplegic. It kind of shocked me... She also told us that after months of physical therapy, and all of the follow up that's necessary, he was regaining some of the skills he had, but he still wanted to die, which is understandable, he was very, very happy, and it all just changed in a split second. And, he happened to tell her that he couldn't take it anymore.
He had quite a collection of guns, and his family took them from his apartment after the accident, but he asked for them and they gave them to him (I'd like to know what they were thinking). Anyway, a few days after that he, with both hands, picked up one of his guns and shot himself.
He was a writer, one of the best, and he couldn't handle the pain any longer, so he decided to end it, forever.
So, no, time doesn't heal anything, anything, and for this man, time just made it worse, because he lost the will to live. And he could wait 9 days, 9 weeks, 9 months, 9 years, even 9 decades, that would never change. Ever...
Time is crap...
