Saudade

There’s word. It’s an unique Portuguese and Galician word. This word is the designation of a feeling. No one else could name this feeling, which makes it hard to explain. But, harder, much harder, is to describe how difficult it is for me to be away from you. There are no words, no images to begin to describe how hard is for me to breathe when you’re not around. There’s only one way for me to explain it to you, is by looking into your eyes, and smile, because my smile shows how important you are to me.

The feeling I was talking about is Saudade. There’s one person, only one, that could grab this feeling and broke it into seven little pieces. So, if describing this feeling is hard, imagine describing seven different kinds of this feeling. Imagine missing in seven different ways a person, the person you love, how hard is that?

Every time you go away, a little piece of me goes with you, and when you come back I feel complete again… That is, in my opinion, the easiest way of describing this feeling that everyone feels, but few can explain it…
